This colorful painting was created using gouache paint to give an illustrative design feel. The subject is a cow painted using non-local colors like pink and violet, contrasting the orange sky background. This is my study of the destroyed Darth Vader mask.from the movie Star Wars, "The Force Awakens. This ink rendering was my design for the pumpkin carving contest held every year at The Chadds Ford Pa Historical Society headquarter.
I chose to do this mask because it illustrates what is the ultimate destination for all who chose to live in the darkness of sin,in stead of living in the the light of righteousness.
The mask belong to the villain Darth Vader , who die while trying to force his son to join the dark side of the force. So I thought the destroyed mask over the letters "The Dark Side Of The Force." reflect the Biblical principle " Sin gives birth to death."

A drawing of the Jules Dalou (1838-1902) sculpture. I would love to post more than one photo, but the site sometimes randomly duplicates one of my five images. 2023, Double Page Spread-5” x 8,” Ballpoint Pen on Moleskine Sketchbook.
I changed the composition, types of silhouettes, and background texture a few times.
I didn't have any expectations about the finished work. It was a creative flow with many changes. I think the creative process looks like this.
Don't be afraid to try.
If you make your art digitally, it's simple. You can:
- create a new layer,
- use shortcut Ctrl+Z.
In traditional art, it depends on the art supplies you use. Sometimes you can try more times. Sometimes you need to start again.
But any attempt is better than giving up.
